Orthodontics & Myofunctional TherapyOnalaska, WI
At Siegert Dental we are committed to providing our patients with the best and most innovative treatment options. Physiologic orthodontics is a treatment modality that focuses on optimizing not only the alignment of the teeth but also the overall function of the jaw and facial muscles.
So, what exactly is physiologic orthodontics?
- It’s an advanced orthodontic approach that considers the entire craniofacial system, including the teeth, jaws, and muscles, to achieve optimal oral function and aesthetic harmony.
- Unlike traditional orthodontics that solely focus on straightening teeth, physiologic orthodontics takes into account the unique characteristics of each patient’s facial structure and aims to improve the balance and function of the entire orofacial system.
- By addressing underlying structural issues, such as improper jaw alignment or muscle imbalances, physiologic orthodontics can not only enhance the appearance of your smile but also improve your overall oral health, breathing, speech, and even sleep quality.
If you're interested in exploring the benefits of physiologic orthodontics, don't hesitate to schedule a consultation with our team. We are here to guide you through your orthodontic journey and help you achieve a healthy, functional, and stunning smile!

?? Exciting News from the AAPD! ??
We are thrilled to share that the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) now recognizes airway health as an essential part of oral health! For too long, the focus has been primarily on cavities and straight teeth, often waiting until baby teeth fall out to address crowding with braces or extraction.
Now, the AAPD is advocating for airway screenings as early as ages 3-6. This proactive approach allows for early growth correction, which can help prevent long-term issues down the line.
This isn't just new science; it’s a philosophy we've embraced at Siegert Dental. Dr. Jake has been sharing the insightful book “Jaws: The Story of a Hidden Epidemic” with many of our patients to explain our treatment philosophies. Additionally, our our Registered Dental Hygenist Courtney is an AOMT certified Myofunctional Therapist!!! Our dedicated team is trained in this comprehensive approach, and we invite you to allow us to be part of your family’s journey toward ensuring healthy airways!
Let’s prioritize airway health together!
